Dancing On Ice presenter Andi Peters has broken his ankle while training for the show. Andi, who hosts the offshoot show Dancing On Ice Exclusive, suffered the accident while training with professional skater Kristina Lenko for an ice routine they were set to perform next week. The former CBBC broom cupboard star will be on crutches for six weeks after suffering the spiral fracture. Andi, 36, said: "I didn't think anything was broken until I looked down and saw just how big my ankle had swollen up. "It was then that I began to think something major might be wrong. It was as if I had snapped a pencil in half. "The last time I fell over on Dancing On Ice I only had a bruised bum, this time it's a proper injury. Nobody should underestimate how challenging this show is." Last year, Andi took part in Dancing On Icefor real, but was voted out in the second week. An ITV spokeswoman said: "The paramedic on site treated him immediately and he was then taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. During training, Andi misplaced his body weight and lost his footing after a lift. He managed to land Kristina safely on her skates and then his left ankle buckled under him."
