Things are not looking good for Dr Jimmi Clay on Doctors when he leaves the Icon late at night and is suddenly attacked! But by WHO?

After the chaos down at the Icon Bar at the end of last week's episodes of Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings), it looked like Jimmi Clay (played by Adrian Lewis Morgan) and Al Haskey's (Ian Midlane) new business venture was heading for disaster before they had even opened!

However, after a little help from their friends from The Mill, it looks like their plans to take over the running of the local bar are back on track.

But things are about to take a terrible turn...

While working late at the Icon to get the bar organised, Jimmi is walking back to his car when he is suddenly attacked and beaten to the floor!

With nobody around to help, Jimmi is at the mercy of his attacker! What will happen to Jimmi Clay?

Meanwhile, Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) and his girlfriend Becky Clarke (Ali Bastian) are trying to move on after the terrible turn of events.

But there's still the fact Daniel has told Becky he doesn't really want another child. Although Becky puts on a brave face and assures Daniel she still wants to be with him, is she really prepared to make that sacrifice for the sake of keeping Daniel happy?

Doctors, Daniel Granger, Becky Clarke

Will Becky Clarke and Daniel Granger reach a decision about their future together on Doctors?

Elsewhere, Daniel's ex, Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) returns from her trip to Milan with new fella Adam Regan (Edward MacLiam).

Zara's surgery colleagues Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) and Emma Reid (Dido Miles) are intrigued by the news Adam has a dishy twin brother, Gareth!

ALSO, there's a blast from the past for policeman Rob Hollins (Chris Walker) when Andy Smith (James Foster), the estranged brother of Detective George Smith, becomes a suspect after George's daughter Charlie (Georgia Burnell) is caught with illegal drugs.

Charlie's mum Jacqui (Kate Coogan) suspects "black sheep of the family" Andy of being the drug dealer.

But are things more complicated than they seem?

Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
