Doctors spoilers: Valerie Pitman uncovers a BLACKMAIL plot!
Surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman gets more than she bargained for during a routine visit on Doctors when she encounters a jewellery thief!
Surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman (played by Sarah Moyle) is off to meet a patient Sandy Furness (Tina Harris), who had her foot run over, in today's episode of Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings).
Valerie is in for a surprise when she hears how it was Sandy's fella Steve (Darren Tighe) who accidentally ran her over!
When Sandy realises she has left her pain pills upstairs, Valerie offers to go and get them. But she's in for another surprise when she catches Steve rummaging through Sandy's stuff, appearing to steal her jewellery! What's going on?
Valerie stands her ground and demands some answers... and discovers Steve needs some money because he is being blackmailed by a fella called Tom Wilkins (Andy Dear).
But why?
And things get even more complicated when Sandy reveals a secret of her own...
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, nurse Ayesha Lee (Laura Rollins) is on a mission with flu vaccines, and is not impressed when she she finds out most of the surgery staff haven't had the flu jab.
But they're not going to get away with that easily!
Meanwhile, Al Haskey (Ian Midlane) is still going full-speed ahead with the plans for him and Jimmi Clay (Adrian Lewis Morgan) to take over the running of the local Icon Bar and start brewing their own beer.
But after colleague Emma Reid (Dido Miles) teases him about age, Jimmi's anxiety starts to kick in again and he wonders if he and Al are both making a BIG mistake getting involved in an industry they know nothing about.
Will Jimmi pull-out of their agreement and crush Al's dream of running their own bar?
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
