Emmerdale spoilers! Cain Dingle attacks Pete thinking he's Moira's lover

Cain Dingle goes full throttle when his mistaken mum Faith tells him Moira's been sleeping with Pete

Emmerdale's Cain Dingle lashes out when he's told his wife Moira's been doing the dirty on him with Pete Barton in Monday's episode (see our TV Guide for full listings).

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is used to his mum Faith (Sally Dexter) coming out with all sorts of outlandish ideas but her latest outburst knocks him for sixty-six…

Faith tells Cain Moira is having an affair in Emmerdale

After summoning up all her courage, Faith tells her son that his wife Moira is sleeping with Pete (Anthony Quinlan)! She's half-right and half-wrong of course as Moira is cheating - but it's with Nate (Jurell Carter) not her former conquest nephew.

Absolutely stunned by his mum's revelation, Cain's survival instinct swiftly kicks in.

Needing to get Pete alone, Cain masks his rage and gets Moira and Nate out of the way, suggesting they attend an agricultural show together.

Unaware that he's got a target on his back, innocent Pete heads up to the farm where he's promptly knocked down then tied to a chair by furious Cain!

In agony, Pete tries to reason with his angry uncle but gets nowhere.  Terrified about what raging Cain might do next, Pete's forced to reveal the truth telling the dangerous Dingle that it's not him who's sleeping with his wife, it's Nate…
