Emmerdale spoilers! Marlon FAINTS as Jessie surprises him with a WEDDING!
Marlon Dingle discovers his girlfriend Jessie has organised a surprise Christmas Day wedding
It's Christmas Day – and not only that… In the Dingles' barn, a huge event looms but can Jessie Grant pull off her audacious surprise and get Marlon Dingle to marry her?
All seems to be going OK at wedding HQ until Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) arrives and tells Jessie (Sandra Marvin) that Sam Dingle (James Hooten) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) haven't arrived home from their stag do and have vanished into thin air!
Away from the village, in the middle of nowhere, hungover Dingles Marlon and Sam wake up in the back of the delivery van they passed out in the night before. Sam thinks it's hilarious until panicked, yet mistaken, Marlon informs his cousin he's getting married that day. As they journey homewards, Sam starts getting emotional about getting hitched to Lydia. Will he be upset when he learns Marlon and Jessie are the intended couple rather than he and Lydia?
Back in the village, the guests start to arrive at the Dingle barn only discovering they're attending a wedding when they catch sight of Jessie in her gown! The same goes for Marlon who turns up and promptly faints to learn he and Jessie are getting hitched! Will he say 'I do'?
Elsewhere, as Christmas Day unfolds for other villagers, things are still super frosty between sisters Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Bernice Blackstock (Sam Giles) which results in their families enduring an awkward lunch.
Penniless, homeless and loveless Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is dealt yet another blow when the twins' are disappointed with his gift.
The most dysfunctional of all of the village festivities has to be David Metcalfe's (Matthew Wolfenden). At his table are his exes, Tracy and Leyla, his girlfriend Maya, and his adopted son Jakey who's crushing on predatory Maya who, instead of brushing off underage Jacob, has been encouraging the schoolboy and is trying to engineer time alone with the 15-year-old…
