Mark Brennan confronts Ned about his treatment of Elly
Ned’s ex Regan is hurt to discover Ned has moved on. When Mark sees them together he doesn’t tell Elly the truth but warns her away from Ned – causing her to think Mark is interested in her. Steph leaves the race day early – only to be surprised by Ari, who has escaped en route to the psychiatric hospital, carrying snakes.
It’s the morning of the Lassiters pigeon race and when Clementine eats some of the pigeons with only Gary’s surviving, Terese guesses Paul’s behind it. The race day is a great success when Gary’s pigeon wins - while Paul’s restaurant launch is a disaster. Gary presents Paul with the winning cheque, claiming all debts between them are settled and quits before Paul fires him.
Xanthe isn’t speaking to Sheila after she sacked Madison and Ben is furious with her. However when Xanthe nobly gives Madison her blessing for a relationship with Ben, Madison urges Xanthe to go to the concert. Xanthe does, and is delighted to hear Ben perform the song he wrote for her.
