With Karl's life hanging in the balance, Susan is struggling to cope

Susan is praying with all her heart that Karl will pull through when her husband is rushed to hospital by helicopter. However, when David breaks the news that Karl may not make it, a distraught Susan is beside herself, imagining a future without her beloved partner.
