As Peter starts work at Underworld he insists on learning the business from the bottom up. Carla's impressed, as despite Michelle's reservations they make plans for the future.

Back at home Roy fusses around Hayley but she's keen to carry on as normal and doesn't want people knowing about her illness. However, Roy's way of dealing with things is very different, and after harassing the consultant for answers, he demands Hayley rests. But when Hayley refuses to sit around, insisting on going to Audrey's birthday drinks, Roy loses his cool as the pair drift apart.

Paul's regretting having words with Sophie but admits he feels under fire. Desperate to fix things for Eileen's sake he asks Jenna to talk to her dad.
