Britain isn’t a very big country, but it has 11,000 miles of coast. Robson Green sets out to explore some of the country’s coastal gems in this four-part series, kicking off in the south-west with Ilfracombe, Clovelly and the island of Lundy.

The tidal pools at Ilfracombe are endowment-killingly cold but Robson’s in like a shot and later scales the 400ft-high Devil’s Slide – 'the largest slab of granite in Europe' – on the tiny island of Lundy.

It's the mix of traditional show-and-tell with action-man stunts that sets this series apart from the travelogue crowd. And Robson's delivery – dry and self-effacing – really helps, too.
