While Gary has remained adamant that he wasn't the one who walloped his arch enemy over the head with a weapon under the cover of darkness, the finger of blame has still remained firmly pointed at him.

And the fact that Gary had got form for stunts like this hasn't worked in his favour, with even his own mum believing that he is guilty.

Last week Neighbours viewers saw Sheila Canning find the bloodied crowbar used in the attack abandoned behind the 82 tram that Gary and son Kyle have been renovating.

But while Sheila is being carted off for questioning just hours after Gary has made a drunken fool of himself at the 82 grand opening, the real culprit for the attack is revealed...

And it's none other than Vance... the love of Roxy Willis' life who she has spent the last few months being heartbroken over.

As Roxy confronted Vance at the end of today's episode over the fact her lies to protect him are landing innocent people like Sheila and Gary in trouble with the law, it seems she might be starting to crack under the pressure of keeping something so huge a secret.

Will Roxy's love for Vance be enough for her to stand by his side despite the fact he is guilty, or will seeing an innocent man's life go down the drain be enough for her to speak out and tell the truth?

And what is Vance doing back? Is he still in love with Roxy? Or has he got unfinished business with former flame Terese Willis?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5
