Women's Euro 2022 Final, 4pm (k-o 5pm), BBC One
After an enthralling tournament, history will be made at Wembley Stadium today when a sell-out crowd of approximately 87,000 look set to break the attendance record for a women’s football match in England. The Lionesses have made it through to the showpiece for the first time since 2009, having breezed through the group stage – with Beth Mead netting a hat-trick in the 8-0 win over Norway and the comprehensive 4-0 victory over Sweden in the semi-final. The Netherlands won Euro 2017, coached by current England boss Sarina Wiegman, so all the signs are positive, just the small issue of Germany to beat… Go Lionesses!

Murder in Provence, 8pm, ITV
This thoroughly engaging whodunnit has been a tonic on balmy Sunday evenings, and the all-too-short series is drawing to a close with the most intriguing mystery to date for Antoine (Roger Allam), Marine (Nancy Carroll) and Hélène (Keala Settle). The trio investigate when a young office worker is murdered and her shady private life comes under the spotlight. But after an elderly lady is also found dead several kilometres away, could there be a connection? Meanwhile, Marine is unnerved by an old pal who seems rather eager to meet up… Here’s hoping for a second trip to the South of France very soon!

War and Justice: The Case of Marine A, 9pm, C4
In 2013, Royal Marine Al Blackman became the first British serviceman to be found guilty of a battlefield murder committed overseas since World War Two. Given a life sentence, he gained his freedom after more than three years in prison thanks to the steadfast support of his wife Claire in launching two legal appeals. This documentary, featuring interviews with Al and Claire, recounts his remarkable story, from the shooting of a Taliban fighter in Helmand Province to his release.

Cleaning Britain's Greatest Treasures, 8pm, More4
Britain’s streets and buildings are packed full of history, but what we don’t see is that there is a secret army of cleaners fighting to keep our national treasures in tip-top condition. In this series narrated by Sheridan Smith, we follow the work of dedicated conservation cleaners who look after everything from stately homes and historic churches to museums and factories. First, we meet the team in charge of preserving Beatrix Potter’s former home, Hill Top in the Lake District. They are just about to spend an entire day cleaning the items inside a miniature doll’s house, many of which were immortalised in The Tale of Two Bad Mice.

Lodge 49, 9pm, AMC
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s Wyatt Russell takes on a very different role as a dreamy California surfer dude in this offbeat comedy-drama series first shown on Prime Video. He plays Dud, whose life ambitions to surf by day and chill out by night are upended after the death of his dad and the loss of the family pool-cleaning business. Then Dud stumbles upon a mysterious fraternal society, whose members offer beer, camaraderie and some strange alchemical philosophies that give him hope of regaining his lost idyllic life.

Best box set to watch on TV tonight
Under the Banner of Heaven, Disney Plus
Normal People’s Daisy Edgar-Jones stars as Brenda Wright Lafferty, a 24-year-old woman found murdered in her Utah home in 1984, along with her infant daughter, Erica, in this true-crime drama. Devout Mormon detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) initially suspects Brenda’s husband Allen (The Serpent’s Billy Howle) of the crime, but suffers a crisis of faith when he learns that a fundamentalist religious sect may have played a part. With a carefully balanced portrayal of belief in many forms, and uniformly excellent performances, this gripping miniseries doesn’t shy away from the big questions about the power of faith.
Best film to watch on TV tonight
Invictus, 11.30pm (Scot 12.45am), BBC One
Morgan Freeman is perfect as Nelson Mandela, who becomes president of racially divided South Africa in May 1994. To create harmony, he calls on national rugby union captain François Pienaar (Matt Damon) to whip his nearly all-white Springboks team into shape to win the 1995 Rugby World Cup. There were three Golden Globe nominations – but no wins – for director Clint Eastwood’s interesting true story.
