Cooking with the Stars, season 2, 8pm, ITV
Which celebrity will win the coveted golden frying pan trophy? All will be revealed in tonight’s final when the culinary contest sees hosts Emma Willis and Tom Allen crown this year’s winner. First up, the remaining three celebrities must cook the dish their professional chef-mentor is famous for, with the winner going through to the final cook, while the two losers face a cook-off, tackling an unseen recipe which will see one being sent home. Two Doors Down, season 5, 10pm, BBC Two (times vary, Scotland Wednesday)
The hit Scottish sitcom about an eclectic bunch of nosy neighbours living in one another’s pockets makes a welcome return with hapless Alan (Graeme Stevely, aka wrestler Grado) in the spotlight in this first episode. His brother Michael (Murder Island’s Martin McCormick) has made him his best man. With Alan’s slovenly ways, it’s up to wife Michelle to take care of the details – while (naturally!) the rest of the neighbours weigh in with their opinions! When Alan loses the wedding rings, will Michael lose his cool? A welcome return for the excellently cast comedy with a lot of heart, unexpected bite and some spontaneous singsongs.

Ben Fogle: Make a New Life in the Country, 9pm, Channel 5
Adventurous newlyweds Emma and Dave have big ideas for the future. They’ve packed up their canal boat in London and moved to rural Lincolnshire to set up a glamping business. With 14 acres to fill there’s plenty of space for the pods, tents and converted buses they plan to build and restore to entice stressed out guests. But the pair has never even owned a garden before and has no experience of running a holiday business, so the work and bills soon mount up. Then there are serious planning problems that threaten to derail the whole project and even this enthusiastic and optimistic couple are left a little broken.

Bake Off: The Professionals, 8pm, C4
The bakers turn into magicians in this week’s quarter-final as they create an illusion dessert that looks like a hotdog but is actually a sweet treat. They also must re-create judge Cherish’s favourite childhood dessert, the Singapore ice cream sandwich, although her expectations are a little higher than a block of vanilla ice cream in between two wafers!

Night Coppers, 9pm, C4
Cameras follow police officers on the beat in Brighton starting with an ex-police chief being stopped for suspected drink-driving by young officers Matt and Will. Have they caught a former police chief up to no good or got themselves in a bit of an awkward situation? Elsewhere, officers Sophie and Rachel investigate a serious assault and Steve discovers that walking the beat after dark can lead to some very unusual discoveries! No night is ever the same for the officers keeping the streets of Brighton safe when most of us are tucked up in bed.

Best box set to watch on TV tonight
The Baby, Sky Box Sets/NOW
When is motherhood not a joy? When your baby is a murdering monster! In this clever comedy-horror The Duchess’s Michelle de Swarte stars as proudly non-maternal Natasha. The gobby chef rents a creepy cabin near a cliff from mysterious chain-smoking Mrs Eaves (Amira Ghazalla), only to find herself landed with a baby – literally – when one plummets into her arms (it’s a boy!). But this isn’t any baby; this is The Baby, an unnatural born killer who’s chosen Natasha as his new mum. And any attempts to offload the problem child results in murder and mayhem. A welcome new addition to the genre.
